Understanding Clinical Trials
A clinical trial is a research study on people to test new ways to prevent, detect, or treat diseases, determining if a new drug, device, or procedure is safe, effective, and better than existing options. These studies involve volunteers and are conducted in phases (Phase 1, 2, 3, 4) to gather data on safety, dosage, effectiveness, and long-term effects before treatments become widely available
Phase 1: Small group, focus on safety, dosage, and side effects.
Phase 2: Larger group, further assess safety and effectiveness, find optimal dose.
Phase 3: Very large group, confirm efficacy, compare to standard treatments, monitor side effects.
Phase 4: Post-approval, long-term monitoring of risks, benefits, and optimal use.
We are currently conducting phase 2, 3, and 4 with participants with an established medical condition (cardiovascular)
Common Questions About Trial Participation

8. What are the possible risks and benefits and options if I am harmed?
9. What kinds of treatment, procedures, or tests will I undergo during the trial?
10. Who will provide these treatments, tests, or procedures?

Transportation Assistance Program
As a courtesy of participating in a Clinical Trials at amavita Research, we will be able to help relieve some of the financial burden of participating. Our Clinical Trial Assistance Program (CTAP) helps reduce financial barriers to clinical trial participation for Amavita’s patients by providing reimbursement for travel-related costs associated with participation in eligible clinical trials. Majority of the Sponsor cover transportations expenses through their 3rd party vendor, in case that one study is not provided this services, Sponsor always provide budgets that will be reimbursed directly to you by our Institutions for types of expenses. Travel costs for one caregiver are allowed, if necessary.
