Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to building a site usable by everyone.

Last updated: April 30, 2026

1. Our commitment

Amavita Research is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and align with Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

2. Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks throughout the Site.
  • Keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators and a "skip to content" link.
  • Color contrast that meets AA for body text in light and dark themes.
  • Alt text on informative images; decorative images marked aria-hidden.
  • Forms with labeled fields, error messages, and live regions.
  • Trilingual interface (English, Spanish, Haitian Creole) with proper lang attributes.
  • Periodic automated and manual review (axe, Lighthouse, screen-reader spot checks).

3. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Auto-translated content on /es/* and /ht/* pages is generated by an AI translation service and may have minor wording or phrasing inaccuracies.
  • Third-party embedded content (e.g., maps, sponsor links) may not meet our internal standard.
  • Some PDF documents linked from the Site may pre-date our remediation program.

4. Feedback and assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or if you need information on this Site provided in an alternative format (large print, audio, accessible PDF, in-person reading), please contact us. We aim to respond within five business days.

5. Compatibility

The Site is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

6. Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review this statement at least annually and update it as the Site changes.
